It Starts With Us (4/5★)

It Starts With Us

Author: Colleen Hoover

Genre: Romance, Fiction

My Rating: 4/5

Summary:

It Starts With Us is the sequel to It Ends With Us and continues the story of Lily Bloom, now a single mother navigating life after leaving her abusive marriage with Ryle Kincaid. The novel focuses on her journey of healing and finding peace, as she slowly rekindles her relationship with her first love, Atlas Corrigan. Told in alternating perspectives between Lily and Atlas, the story explores themes of second chances, emotional recovery, and choosing love that is kind, steady, and safe.

My Thoughts:

I actually liked It Starts With Us more than the first book. I finished it in just one night—it felt like a comforting read with a nice mix of happy and emotional moments. It wasn’t one of the best books I’ve ever read, but it still held my interest and gave a satisfying continuation to Lily and Atlas’s story. The calmer tone and hopeful vibe made it a pleasant read overall, and I appreciated the closure it offered.
